“Back End” refers to a server (a computer with a database) that is holding all the data that was entered on the “Front End”. We create Back Ends including database design.
The Back End is like a warehouse. You can’t see inside it, but that’s where everything is.
“Back End” refers to that portion of a web page or site that collects the entered data and gives it out when asked for. Examples of data might include logins for new users. The Back End contains the databases which must be designed and set up by our developers. Once set up, hidden information can be served up at the click of a button or link. See Front End and API.
